Overview
The Victory Temple mobile app helps members of Victory Temple stay connected with church life (services, prayer, sermons, announcements, groups, gallery, and giving links). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Account and profile information
When you create or complete an account, we may collect:
– Name
– Email address
– Phone number (if provided)
– Birthdate
– Profile details you choose to add (for example marital status, anniversary, family information)
Church staff may also assign roles (such as member, pastor, or other ministry roles) to manage access.
Content you create in the app
Depending on features you use, we may store:
– Prayer requests and prayer-related responses/comments
– Personal scripture notes (private by default; shared only if you choose to share)
– Group membership and group-related activity
– Event registrations / RSVPs
– Gallery photos or videos you upload
– Other messages or content you submit in church features
Device and notification information
– Account user ID used to operate the app
– Push notification tokens so we can send church-related alerts you allow
– Basic technical information needed to run the service securely (for example authentication session data)
Giving
In-app giving opens external services (such as Tithely or PayPal). Payment card details are handled by those providers, not collected by Victory Temple inside the app as Apple in-app purchases. Staff may upload giving statements for you to view in the app.
Information stored only on your device
Some data stays on your device and is not uploaded as account profile data, for example:
– Optional biometric/Face ID preference for signing in
– Kids Mode PIN (stored locally on the device)
How We Use Information
We use information to:
– Create and manage your church account
– Provide app features (prayer, services, sermons, groups, gallery, announcements, family tools)
– Allow pastors/staff to administer church ministry features
– Send notifications you enable (announcements, groups, and church updates)
– Protect accounts and prevent misuse (including disabling accounts when appropriate)
– Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
– church pastors and authorized staff as needed to operate ministry features (for example approving members, moderating content, or managing groups)
– Service providers that host and power the app backend (for example cloud database/auth/storage and push delivery). These providers process data on our behalf.
– Other members only when a feature is designed to share content (for example a public prayer request, shared note, or gallery post)
– Legal authorities if required by law
External giving providers (Tithely/PayPal) have their own privacy policies when you leave the app to give.
Data Retention
We keep account and ministry-related data while your account is active and as needed for church operations. If your account is disabled or deleted, we may remove or restrict associated data according to ministry and legal needs. You may contact us to request account or data deletion.
Children’s Privacy
The app may include optional Kids Mode features intended for use under parental/guardian guidance. We do not knowingly sell children’s data. Parents/guardians should supervise accounts used by minors. Contact us if you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately.
Your Choices
You may:
– Update profile information in the app
– Turn off notifications in iOS Settings
– Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing info@victorytemple.org
– Stop using the app and request account deactivation through church staff
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including authenticated access controls) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
